Hi Class. This is my first time doing a blog. I like to try new things which is why I picked this from Professsor Wahl's choices this morning. I hope you weren't all wanting to share essays today.....I do want to look at your essays too. Maybe next week.
Ever since the "snow week" I've had a hard time getting back into a school groove. I don't feel like I've gotten to know this class as well as I normally would by this time in the semester. Maybe we should start individual conferences soon so I can learn more about each of you. In case you're wondering, I will meet with each of you before the end of the semester to help you with your academic plan. I noticed that some of you were planning to come to the Counseling department to pick future classes. You don't need to do that because I will take care of that with you.
I look foward to "blogging" with you!
Oh, now John tells me this is a blog to introduce myself. I think I've already more or less done that in the front of the class, but here's a few things:
- native Washingtonian....born in DC
- now I live in Northern Virginia (my parents and two brothers also live in N. VA)
- I have two kids, one daughter who is 20 and a Jr. in college and a son, 18, who is a hs senior
- aside from work, family and friends my pasttimes are reading -- I'm in a book club -- and triathlon training. My next triathlon is St. Anthony's in Petersburg, FL at the end of April. Bike training has been very difficult with all this snow.
That's enough for now. Looking forward to getting to know you better.
